The Ultimate Guide for a Weekend Getaway in Laguna Beach California

Located in the heart of Orange County, California, this gorgeous beach town has been on my bucket list ever since I moved to SoCal. I can't believe it took me three whole years to FINALLY go. I've been to Huntington Beach and Newport...but somehow never actually Laguna Beach (even though they are right next to each other). CUE "Ocean Avenue" by Yellow Card...let's go!

I fell in love with Laguna Beach from the moment I arrived! It was everything I expected and more. The town is so cute with gorgeous beaches, parks, boutique stores, art galleries, luxurious hotels, and so much to do.

About an hour from LA, Laguna Beach is the perfect place for a quick weekend getaway. I took a quick trip here on my way to San Diego for my birthday weekend and had a wonderful time. I want to share all my tips on where to stay, what to eat, and things to do.

While indoor dining is not yet allowed yet in Laguna Beach, most have converted to outdoor seating right near the water.

WHERE TO STAY

Budget:

Laguna Beach House (this is where I stayed)

Laguna Beach House has sweeping coastal views meet a minimalist, airy layout. It's within walking distance to Main Beach, restaurants, and shops. They have wine happy hour and cookies every day! The pool/hot tub were great to relax in after coming home. The room was clean, big, and had a very comfortable bed.

Moderate:

Laguna Beach Inn (I was also looking here, but ended up getting a better deal at Laguna Beach House)

Luxurious:
